Elements & performance criteria

Performance evidence

• research a range of occupations within the energy sector using current sources of information and digital tools and resources
• compare key aspects of two different energy sector occupations, including job roles, typical conditions, qualifications/experience or skills required for entry, and potential career pathways
• develop a personalised career profile that identifies individual interests, skills, and potential training or employment pathways relevant to the energy sector for two different energy sector occupations using an appropriate digital or written format
• communicate information about selected occupational roles while participating in research activities with others, using appropriate energy sector terminology to describe a potential career pathway in the energy sector.

Knowledge evidence

• basic structure of the energy sector, including: o key industries across traditional and emerging areas o entry-level occupations in different industry sectors relating to course project work
• sources of current information used to research energy sector occupations, including: o job advertisements o industry association websites o labour market reports
