What an assessment for MEACOM0019 must cover
19 assessable components: 3 elements (10 performance criteria), 4 performance evidence and 5 knowledge evidence requirements. An audit-defensible tool maps every question and task back to these — that mapping is the coverage matrix Auditori generates alongside the assessment.
Elements & performance criteria
1 Maintain proper custody of aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment
- 1.1Maintain or store aircraft and aeronautical product in facilities or circumstances that comply with regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
- 1.2Store special test equipment in required environmental conditions and carry out calibration at required intervals
- 1.3Store and operate ground support equipment in an environment that prevents undue deterioration and wear
- 1.4Observe storage and control requirements for hazardous and controlled materials
- 1.5Maintain maintenance records and documentation according to regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
2 Transfer aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment between organisations
- 2.1Transfer aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment between organisations according to regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
- 2.2Transfer maintenance records and documentation between organisations according to regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
3 Dispose of aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment
- 3.1Classify aircraft, items of aeronautical product and support equipment for disposal, and compile required documentation to allow disposal, in line with regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
- 3.2Prepare aircraft and items of aeronautical product for disposal as directed
- 3.3Retain and store maintenance records and documentation according to regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures
Performance evidence
- manage the custody, transfer and disposal of the following under the applicable airworthiness regulatory system of: one aircraft
- one of each of the following three types of aeronautical product and support equipment: special test equipment: measuring equipment, non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, system test box, test stand, or automatic test equipment
- ground support equipment: power cart, hydraulic rig, pneumatic rig, refuelling equipment, or towing equipment
- hazardous and controlled material: chemicals classified as hazardous; items, such as Halon fire-extinguishers, which require an Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) licence for storage; and materials that have EPA standards for storage and use
Knowledge evidence
- key features of aircraft maintenance and aeronautical product maintenance requirements and instructions relating to the work described in the performance evidence
- environmental protection requirements relating to the custody, transfer and disposal of aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment described in the performance evidence
- key features of test equipment calibration requirements
- regulatory requirements relating to the custody, transfer and disposal of aircraft, aeronautical product, and support equipment (including those relating to environmental protection) and other requirements specified in: aviation maintenance organisation expositions; continuing airworthiness management organisation expositions; policy manuals; procedures manuals; maintenance management plans; standing instructions
- regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures relating to the custody, transfer and disposal of the aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment described in the performance evidence, including those relating to: maintaining, retaining and storing maintenance records and documentation; maintaining and storing aircraft and aeronautical product; transferring aircraft, aeronautical product and support equipment between organisations; transferring maintenance records and documentation between organisations; classifying aircraft, items of aeronautical product and support equipment for disposal; compiling disposal documentation.

Questions about assessing MEACOM0019
What does an assessment tool for MEACOM0019 need to cover?
To satisfy the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence, an assessment for MEACOM0019 needs to address all 19 unit components: 3 elements with 10 performance criteria, 4 performance evidence requirements, 5 knowledge evidence requirements, and the foundation skills. A coverage matrix mapping each question and task to these components is what an auditor looks for.
How does Auditori generate an assessment tool for MEACOM0019?
Auditori pulls the current release of MEACOM0019 from training.gov.au and generates a complete package: candidate assessment, assessor guide with model answers and observation criteria, and a coverage matrix mapping every component. A suitably qualified person then reviews and approves the draft in a built-in workflow — consistent with ASQA's guidance on AI use in VET — before export as branded PDF and editable Word.
Is the first assessment tool really free?
Yes. Every new account includes one free credit — enough to generate the complete assessment tool for MEACOM0019 — with no card and no subscription required. After that it's pay-as-you-go per unit.
Can I check my existing MEACOM0019 assessment instead of generating a new one?
Yes — upload your existing assessment or learner guide and Auditori maps it against every element, performance criterion, PE and KE of MEACOM0019, showing exactly what's covered and what's missing. Mapping costs a quarter of a credit.
