2 Establish safety of area
- 2.1WHS/OHS policies and procedures relating to gas/vapour detection are followed
- 2.2Hazards are monitored and risk controls are implemented in accordance with workplace procedures
- 2.3Personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn for work in potentially dangerous atmospheres and/or hazardous areas
- 2.4Portable gas detection device is used in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
