In performing this task, the individual has used one of the following items of equipment: • manually controlled docking and trimming saw • bench saw • radial arm saw • saw with adjustable angles • saw with mechanical feed • saw with one blade • table saw • saw with automatic feed • other workplace equipment for cutting timber or engineered wood products to length or dimensions.
Also, in performing this task, the individual has: • followed workplace procedures for cutting operation • selected, fitted and used personal protective equipment (PPE) • cut products to length or dimensions according to prescribed workplace tolerance • stacked cut product in designated storage location according to common length and width • completed operator maintenance on the saw used.

Knowledge evidence
